California Faith for Equality is the leading organization working at the intersection of faith and LGBT equality in California, and is the largest interfaith network of its kind in the nation. Our network of congregations and faith-based organizations work, locally and regionally, to win full lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. Our mission is to educate, support and mobilize California’s communities of faith to promote equality for LGBT people and to safeguard religious freedom.
Since 2006, CFE has:

- Created safe spaces and strategic outreach programs to African American Protestants, Latino/a Catholics, and leaders from Evangelical and Mormon churches for dialogue and education
- Achieved over 700 media hits, including interviews, letters to the editor, op-eds, and other mainstream media, putting the spotlight on people of faith’s support and work on LGBT equality
